Bear Spirit Totem Incense Burner Shaman Cone Incense Burners Many Native Americans hold a reverence for bears. The oldest dance of the Utes, of western Colorado, is the Bear Dance. Traditionally, the Bear Dance was celebrated in spring. Dancing the bear dance secures the animal's blessing and signals a time of rebirth and renewal. Every medicine man/woman has dream spirit guides. A bear totem often guides to assume a role of leadership. It also encourages developing natural abilities in healing. Following bear medicine will lead to greater balance in body, mind and spirit. Bear's wisdom includes: healing, introspection, transformation, patience, wisdom, balance & harmony. The bear is a creature of dreams, astral travel, visionaries, mystics and shamans and can lead to a great interest in these subjects. It is a powerful totem for awakening the power of the unconscious mind. |

Smoke comes out of the Shaman's mouth, the first bear's mouth and eyes, and the top bear's mouth! There are also small holes in the back of the incense burner, near the base, to allow enough air, to keep the incense burning. The back is also decorated as a tree trunk, so the whole piece has the illusion of being carved from a tree. The Bear Spirit cone incense burner is about 10 1/2" tall by about 5" wide, made of painted bisque ceramic, and comes with a small round disk that holds the cone or mini-stick incense. The base is a beige shade, with dark accents, as a stain washed over the piece. Colors can vary from beige, to brown, to black.
