Our lotus incense burner is made of soapstone. Each is individually
hand carved from soapstone, so they may vary slightly in design and
color.
The lotus incense burner measures about 2" across, and is fairly flat,
at about 3/8" thick. These lotus incense burners will burn cones or sticks, your choice! These are great little incense burners, small enough to fit in your pocket. Perfect for somebody who is on the go! And if spiritually
inclined, a great daily reminder of their path.

Just a little trinket, but a very interesting little hand carved incense
burner, shaped like a lotus flower.

The lotus is a water flower. At night, the blossom closes and sinks
down into the water. When the sun rises, the lotus emerges, reaching
for the sun, opening into full bloom, once again. Thus the flower
became a natural symbol of the sun and creation in ancient egypt
and a symbol of spiritual growth and enlightenment farther east.

The Sanskrit "Om mani padme hum" means, "Om, the jewel in the
lotus." Mani, the "jewel," refers to the spark of divinity that is within
the heart of every living being, and from which we receive inspiration,
our feelings of love and yearnings to grow greater. The lotus refers to
the gradual unfoldment of our inner being in manifested life, whether
on a small or grand scale.
