Small Black Stone Scrying Bowls |
Water scrying, or water divination, can be done in many ways. One of the most popular
forms of water scrying, uses a scrying bowl, and has been in use for well
over 1000 years. The scryer sits at a scrying bowl of fresh water and clears the mind of conscious every day thought. As they sit they may blow into the bowl to create a clearing ripple effect, designed to clear away the mist that obscures the visions. The bowl itself, merely serves as a window to look out into the world, whether it be past, present, or future. Many people believe that in order to scry using a bowl, the scrying bowl must be very large. Perhaps, they are unaware that one of the very earliest recorded scrying devices was the human thumbnail. So, if an object no larger than 1/2" X 1/2" was employed for the purposes of divining the future, it does not seem reasonable that you would "need" a very large bowl. Most people seem to believe that the answers come from your higher self, or soul, rather than divinity. Your higher self has access to the past, present, and future, and can give very accurate answers to your most important questions.
