Smudging Tools & Accessories Turkey Feathers Turkey Feathers Or Smudging Feathers Several Navajo legends speak of Turkey. One legend speaks of how the turkey, brought seeds/corn with him from the flooded lower fourth world, to help replant the land. These are colorful turkey smudge feathers, for fanning smoke when smudging. The smoke is fanned with the feather to move it about the space or about the person being smudged. Turkey Feathers are available in Black, White, Green, Pink, and Purple. Smudge feathers are about 9"-14" long, come in a plastic sleeve, with basic directions for use. All Turkey Smudging Feathers $1.79 Each Terra Cotta Smudge Pots Ceramic Smudging Bowls These pretty little red clay smudge pots or bowls are made of fired Terra Cotta clay and are pictured, above. Perfect for smudging, they measure about 4" across, at the widest point, and 3" high. They are solid fired terra cotta ceramic and it is unglazed. That is, they will very slowly erode, if exposed to the elements, unless you decorate or paint them. If left unpainted, best to store the smudge pot indoors. Kept indoors, you should have years of great smudging! Fill them with sand to burn loose smudge, or use them to catch the ashes as you are smudging with wands or sticks!
